Today, September 14, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is meeting with the Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer in Downing Street. The discussion will take place against the backdrop of the upcoming meeting of Donald Trump with the Russian leader on Friday.
Keir Starmer previously stated that Great Britain is ready to "send pressure" on Russia, which will be necessary. This takes place against the backdrop of the worsening situation in Ukraine, where fighting continues.
In addition, during the phone conversation with Trump, Starmer emphasized the importance of meetings for achieving a peaceful resolution to the conflict. He stressed that discussing the situation in Ukraine should not proceed without the involvement of Kyiv. Trump indicated that there might be further discussions with Zelensky after his meeting with Putin.
Yesterday, September 13, Zelensky also visited Berlin, where he met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. During this meeting, they participated in a video conference with Trump and European leaders, where they discussed the issue of territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Zelensky urged international partners to actively finance the production of drones in Ukraine and engage in programs to purchase American weapons.
