The coordinator of special services in Poland, Tomasz Siemoniak, reported this on the social network X.
According to the information, the detained individual committed vandalism at the memorials to the victims of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and at public buildings, leaving anti-Polish inscriptions. Siemoniak noted that these actions were aimed at inciting tensions between Ukrainians and Poles.
Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk also commented on the detention. He emphasized that similar actions are often the result of manipulation by foreign intelligence services, including Russian ones. Tusk added that this is not the first case of detaining Ukrainians, who were recruited for provocations in Poland.
He emphasized that in most of these cases, the incidents are aimed at inciting conflicts that benefit Russia, which seeks to provoke anti-Polish sentiments in Ukraine and anti-Ukrainian sentiments in Poland.
