On Wednesday evening in the province of Friesland, in northern Netherlands, a plane crash occurred, resulting in one person being killed and five others sustaining injuries. The plane, which was carrying 34 passengers, crashed under unclear circumstances.

According to local authorities, the "plane went down quickly around 21:00 and was severely impacted by the ground." A spokesperson for the Dutch Airline Association noted that the sudden wind shear caused a sharp descent, resulting in the plane crashing and five people being ejected from it.

The police have started investigating the incident.
