During the match, PSG did not include Zabarnyi in the squad, so he also did not receive a medal. However, during the celebration of the victory, Marquinhos approached Zabarnyi and personally hung the medal around his neck. This gesture drew the attention of the cameras and sparked discussions among fans.
Zabarnyi also had the opportunity to lift the UEFA Super Cup together with his teammates and take memorable photographs with the trophy. The 21-year-old defender has a chance to debut for the new team already on September 17 in the first round of Ligue 1 against Nantes.
