Observe the six planets in the September sky
- From September 17 to 21, six planets can be observed in the sky.
- On September 20, a special view of the Moon will appear next to Venus.
- Mercury will reach its maximum height on September 19.
In September 2025, it will be possible to observe a "planet parade" which will pass before sunrise. From September 17 to 21, the sky will be adorned with six planets: Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, and also the distant Uranus and Neptune.
Jupiter and Venus will be the largest visible planets, located in the eastern part of the sky. Mercury, which will become visible closer to sunrise, will reach its maximum height on September 19. Saturn will be visible in the south.
On September 20, a special event is planned when the thin crescent of the Moon will appear next to Venus, creating a beautiful picture in the sky.
For the best observation, it is recommended to go outside around 6:00 AM to see the bright planets before sunrise. It is also essential to choose a place with an unobstructed horizon, away from tall buildings, so that the view is not obstructed.
Although Uranus and Neptune will also be in the sky, they may not be visible to the naked eye. The next planet parade will happen again in July 2028.
