Wrexham ready to set a transfer record for Broadhead

  • Wrexham is preparing to sign Broadhead for a record amount.
  • The forward has experience playing for the Welsh national team.
  • The club is actively investing in new players after their promotion to the Championship.

Wrexham is close to signing a deal with Welsh forward Nathan Broadhead from Ipswich Town, which could reach £10 million. This deal would become the largest in the club's history, surpassing the previous record of £3 million, paid for Luyis O'Brien last month.

Broadhead, who is 27 years old, is in the final year of his contract with Ipswich and was part of the youth setup at Wrexham before moving to Everton a decade ago. He became a key figure at Ipswich, helping the club rise from League One to the Premier League, scoring two goals in 18 matches last season.

Wrexham is actively signing new players after their promotion to the Championship, and Broadhead will be the ninth new signing for the club. Among the other new signings are Denny Ward and Kieffer Moore, who are also Welsh internationals.

The club is also exploring the possibility of signing Luyis Kummer from Liverpool and Sivert Mannsverka from Ajax.
