Details: 17-year-old Mykhailo has spent most of his life under occupation, where danger and fear became his reality. Russian soldiers constantly controlled his family, conducting regular checks.

Mykhailo was forced to be cautious in expressing himself, as any word could lead to serious consequences for him and his mother.

"Mykhailo lived in constant fear of being mobilized to the Russian army. Besides, the situation at home was complicated, so even at a young age he had to argue about household matters and help his mother," representatives of the initiative Bring Kids Back UA noted.

Mykhailo's parents and brother live in territory controlled by Ukraine, but discussing this under occupation was unsafe. Because of this, Mykhailo rarely communicated with his father, and all attempts to take him out of the occupied territory were thwarted due to strict control by the occupiers. The dream of reunion with family became impossible.

When the situation became critical, Mykhailo himself asked for help. Thanks to the team of the Ukrainian border guard, he was able to prepare documents, develop a safe route, and ensure supervision during the exit.

"Now Mykhailo is in a free territory, with his parents and brother, receiving psychological support, formalizing documents, and preparing for a long-awaited new life – in safety and without fear," representatives of the initiative reported.

Note: Earlier in Ukraine, the daughter of a deceased soldier was returned, whom the Russians wanted to send to a Russian orphanage, as well as two young people who dreamed of living and building their future in a free country.
