FC Karpaty Signs Ecuadorian Defender

The football club Karpaty has signed a contract with 26-year-old Ecuadorian defender Diego Palacios, as reported by the team’s press service. The transfer took place on the terms of a loan for the 2025/26 season with a buyout option.
Diego Palacios, born on July 12, 1999, in Ecuador, standing 169 cm tall and weighing 72 kg, began his career in Ecuadorian clubs Norte América, Auka, and Deportivo Asoegas. In 2018, he first moved abroad from Ecuador, signing a contract with the Dutch club Willem II.
Palacios also has experience playing for the Ecuadorian national team, where he participated in the World Cup in 2022. He began in matches of the MLS Cup and the CONCACAF Champions League, receiving recognition as one of the best players of the tournament. In 2024, he will return to play for Corinthians, where he previously played.
Currently, the Karpaty team is preparing for the upcoming match in the UPL, where on September 16, they will face Kolos from Kovalivka.
