In Beijing, on August 14, 2025, the opening of the First World Human Robot Games will take place. The ceremony showcased how human robots perform hip-hop, demonstrate combat techniques, and also play musical instruments, including keyboards, guitars, and drums.

The competitions will start on August 15 with the participation of over 500 human robots in 280 teams from 16 countries, including the USA, Germany, and Japan. The robots will compete in such sports as football, running, and boxing. This event takes place against the backdrop of China's growing investment in the development of human robots that operate based on artificial intelligence.

During the opening, robots demonstrated football and boxing, including one robot scoring a goal after several attempts, which led to a drop in the goalkeeper's performance. Another robot fell, but it got back up without assistance. The robots also showcased fashionable outfits and clothing alongside human models. However, one of the robots fell and managed to win over two humans.

In the competitions, teams include those from robotics companies and Chinese universities, such as Tsinghua and Peking University, as well as three secondary schools. The official Chinese newspaper, "People's Daily," quoted a representative of the Beijing government who stated that "every robot that participates is making history."

The event will last three days, concluding on August 17. Tickets for the event are being sold at prices ranging from 180 yuan (25 dollars) to 580 yuan (80 dollars).
