Il-96 flights from Moscow to Alaska before the meeting
- The Il-96 plane is flying to Alaska ahead of the Trump-Putin summit.

The Il-96, a government aircraft of the Special Aviation Division "Russia", departed from Moscow's Vnukovo Airport at 7:50 AM local time. The plane is heading directly to Anchorage, Alaska, where it is expected to arrive at approximately 6:43 AM on Friday local time, which corresponds to 5:43 PM Thursday Kyiv time.
According to data from the Flightradar service, the plane is flying over the Russian Arctic coast and is not being accompanied by any other aircraft. Currently, it is unknown who is aboard, and whether Vladimir Putin is among them.
According to Russian media, a delegation, which will participate in the meeting between Putin and US President Donald Trump, includes a special representative of Putin on investment and economic cooperation with friendly countries, Kirill Dmitriev.
The meeting of Trump and Putin is scheduled for September 15 in Anchorage, at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base. The US President intends to focus on the issue of ending the war in Ukraine, among other non-priority matters.
It is noted that at the previous meeting, leaders of 26 countries of the European Union adopted a joint statement in support of Ukraine. The only one who did not sign the document was the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban.
