Acura RSX Prototype
AcuraAcura has introduced the RSX prototype at Monterey Car Week, showcasing a new direction for its electric vehicles. This vehicle, which is a crossover with a coupe-like profile, was previously teased, and now its design has become more recognizable.
The RSX prototype is the first production vehicle built on Honda's new global electric platform. Production will begin in the second half of 2026 at the plant in Ohio, where the Honda Accord and Acura Integra are also manufactured. The prototype demonstrates a style inspired by previous concepts, with an emphasis on aerodynamics and elegance.
The vehicle features a new electric architecture, allowing for over-the-air updates. It also has the potential for dual charging capability, enabling the use of the battery for powering other devices. It is known that the RSX will be equipped with the Asimo system, which is responsible for managing the vehicle's main functions.
The manufacturer has not disclosed technical specifications, but it is known that the vehicle will feature electric all-wheel drive and a sporty suspension. It is expected that the vehicle will be announced in 2026, with the first presentation taking place at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
