Discussing Security Guarantees for Ukraine at the Negotiations

U.S. Secretary of State Marko Rubiyo expressed the opinion that security guarantees for Ukraine and territorial concessions must be part of the peace negotiations with Russia. According to him, to achieve peace, it is essential to discuss security issues and territorial disputes.

Rubiyo hopes for swift progress in ending the war. He noted that negotiations could be an important step towards peace and expressed hope for positive results from the meetings.

Security Guarantees for Ukraine

French Minister for Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian reported during a meeting in Algiers on September 15 that U.S. President Donald Trump demands that Russian President Vladimir Putin cease fire and provide security guarantees for Ukraine along with other partners.

Previously, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that Trump believes NATO should not necessarily be part of these guarantees.
