World number one, young Sinner, defeated Felix Oje-Aliasim with a score of 6-0 6-2 and advanced to the semifinals of the US Open in Cincinnati.

Sinner defeated a Canadian for the first time in his career, having previously lost to Oje-Aliasim in two encounters in 2022. During the match, Sinner demonstrated his dominance, winning the first set in 27 minutes, not giving his opponent a single chance.

Oje-Aliasim, who ranks 28th in the world ranking, could not cope with Sinner's speed and made four double faults, which led to quick breaks in the opening set. In the second set, he tried to start from 2-0, but Sinner quickly leveled the game and regained the initiative.

The match lasted 71 minutes, and Sinner showcased his strength, including a successful return of serves, which added to his dominance. "I felt that I was returning well, that was a key moment for my success," Sinner noted after the victory.
