Bryce Young and CJ Stroud Continue Their Friendship in Joint Training

Young - Bryce Young and CJ Stroud, who were selected first and second overall in the NFL draft in 2023, will again meet for joint training on the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans on August 14, 2025.
The joint workouts demonstrated good chemistry during training, executing precise passes, although there were some interceptions, especially in the red zone.
Young noted that Stroud is writing a lot about his successes and emphasized the importance of their friendship, which was formed back in childhood when they competed in football and basketball.
"I always root for him. He’s my little brother. The opportunity to live our dreams together is a special moment," Young said.
Stroud, who earned the title of NFL Rookie of the Year in 2023, also praised Young for his aggressiveness and leadership qualities. "He’s one of the best players I’ve ever seen," Stroud added.
The two quarterbacks continue to support one another, regardless of the different paths in their careers. Stroud highlighted the importance of competitive spirit, but also that their friendship remains unchanged, independent of obstacles.
Panthers' head coach, DeV Kanales, emphasized that the two quarterbacks are charismatic leaders who can continue to develop their teams.
During the joint training, which took place in hot conditions, both teams demonstrated good physical preparation, although there were moments of tension, including one clean hit from Panthers that led to some commotion among the players.
