At the event, organized by the Royal British Legion, 33 veterans will be present, aged between 96 and 105 years, who served in the Far East and the Pacific Ocean. Corporal Charles, who is the patron of the Royal British Legion, will speak with a pre-recorded message, in which he emphasizes that "the sacrifices of the heroes who perished in the campaigns must not be forgotten." He also recalls the horrors faced by military and civilian individuals in occupied territories.
