Puerto Rico Receives Boost from Bad Bunny Concerts

Puerto Rico is experiencing a significant influx of tourists who are traveling to attend Bad Bunny's concerts, which are taking place in San Juan from mid-July to mid-August. This has provided the opportunity to enhance the island's economy, which is still recovering from a difficult state. According to Discover Puerto Rico, nearly 25,000 packages for concert attendance were sold in one day, which resulted in a 10% increase in hotel bookings compared to the previous year.
Tourists not only attend concerts but also familiarize themselves with the culture and history of the island. They can visit places related to the life of the singer, including his former school and supermarket where he used to work.
Many hotels are promoting special packages, which include tickets to concerts, generating nearly 200 million dollars. The number of booked flights from the mainland U.S. has increased by 7% during the period from July to August.
Guests are also offered excursions related to Bad Bunny, including bike tours and culinary master classes. This fosters the development of local business and increases interest in the cultural heritage of Puerto Rico.
