Ukraine's Participation in Peace Talks is Essential for Achieving Peace

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine insists that no decisions regarding peace can be made without Ukraine's participation. The Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha noted that negotiations can only be productive after a ceasefire is achieved.

Sybiha added that Ukrainians and Europeans are more committed than anyone else to achieving peace. However, according to him, Russia sees a sense in continuing the war and is trying to build new walls on the path to just peace. He also stated that the unity of democratic countries in the transatlantic space is stronger than Russian imperialism.

The minister emphasized that through common transatlantic strength, it is possible to achieve lasting peace based on reliable security.

On August 15, a meeting was scheduled between U.S. President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
