On August 15, 2025, in Anchorage, Alaska, a rally in support of Ukraine will take place. This event will occur ahead of the summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Jerelo: former correspondent of "Voice of America" Ostap Yarysh published a video of the rally on X (Twitter).
At the rally, there will be chants in support of Ukraine, including: "Ukraine and Alaska — Russia is no longer here."
Simultaneously, on August 15, Putin is in Magadan in the Far East of Russia. This information was confirmed by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. Putin plans to visit several facilities, including a fish processing plant and a cultural center, as well as meet with the governor of the Magadan region, Sergey Nosov.
Peskov noted that the president always utilizes the opportunity to discuss regional issues, especially before heading to Alaska for discussions on Russian-American affairs. The meeting between Trump and Putin is scheduled for 15:30 local time (22:30 Kyiv time). The discussion will focus on the ongoing war initiated by Russia in Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that the rally in Anchorage will also include additional protest actions on the day of the negotiations.
