Wrexham Modernizes Stadium: New Pitch and Technologies

  • Wrexham is investing £1.7 million in a new pitch.
  • The Kop stand will be reconstructed to increase capacity to 18,000.
  • The modernization of the stadium includes new technologies and comfortable conditions for spectators.

In Wrexham, the club, which is starting its historic traditions, is undergoing significant modernization of the Stok Cae Ras stadium. These changes are the result of the active work of the team, which began this summer, including after the signing of record transfer Nathan Broadhead for £7.5 million sterling.

The main innovation is the new pitch, valued at £1.7 million sterling. This pitch has under-soil heating and a new drainage system, which allows it to be maintained in ideal condition. This important upgrade meets UEFA standards.

Additionally, the stadium has seen changes in configuration. The disabled access boxes have been relocated to another side of the field, and a new television gantry has also been built. As a result of these changes, the stadium will gain new spectator places, which also contributes to increased comfort for viewers.

It is planned that the new Kop stand will be ready for the upcoming season, which will significantly increase the stadium's capacity, allowing it to accommodate approximately 18,000 spectators. This will enable Wrexham to meet international standards and host matches for the national team of Wales.

Moreover, new technologies, including an automated video referee system, have also been introduced at the stadium, which will elevate the level of match officiating.
