63 out of 97 enemy drones destroyed overnight

On September 15, 2025, the Ukrainian military reported the successful operation of the air defense system during the nighttime attack by the enemy. According to preliminary data, from 19:30 on September 14 to 8:00 on September 15, 63 out of 97 enemy drones were destroyed, which attacked the territory of Ukraine.

The enemy used 2 ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M type, launched from the Voronezh and Bryansk regions, as well as 97 strike drones of the Shahed type and imitation drones, which attacked from the northern regions of Russia, such as Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Shatalovo.

The main drone strikes were aimed at the border districts of Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Chernihiv regions, where the missiles hit Kharkiv and Chernihiv. A total of 34 enemy drones were recorded as destroyed in 13 different locations.

To repel the attack, aircraft, units of the electronic warfare, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were involved.
