At the Austrian Grand Prix in the MotoGP class, Marc Marquez from the Ducati team became the leader after the first free practice sessions, showing the best time of 1'29"376. He did not hesitate in searching for the optimal rhythm on the Red Bull Ring track, where he previously struggled to overtake.
His teammate Francesco Bagnaia, who finished second, trailed Marquez by 31 hundredths. The third-best result was shown by Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia), while Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini) finished fourth, although he wants to return to the podium in the next race.
Among other participants, Joan Mir (Honda) claimed sixth position, while Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) finished seventh. Johann Zarco (LCR Honda) recorded only the 16th time, trailing by more than a second from the leader.
Ducati specialist Jorge Dall'Igna noted that the team is working on improvements, while competition with other teams has significantly increased. He expressed a desire to keep Marquez and Bagnaia in his team, as their performances are crucial for the brand.
