- United qualified for the Champions League after finishing third in the previous season.
Fridolina Rolfo, the Swedish forward, signed a contract with Manchester United on Friday, completing a four-year period at Barcelona.
The 31-year-old Rolfo signed the deal until June 2027.
She played her 100th match for the Sweden national team at the Euro last month, scoring 33 goals for the national team.
Rolfo previously played for Wolfsburg and Bayern, winning two titles of Champions League with Barcelona, scoring the decisive goal in one of the finals.
In the previous season, United finished third in the Women’s Super League and qualified for the Champions League.
“The Women’s Super League is, of course, the strongest league in the world at this moment,” said Rolfo, adding that this was an important factor in her decision to join the team, as well as the desire to help the club establish itself in the Champions League.
