Hillary Clinton stated that she is ready to nominate President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, should he manage to conclude a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, without conceding territory. She expressed this thought in the podcast Raging Moderates, urging Trump not to compromise with the Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Clinton clarified that the president may have the opportunity to become "the architect" of such an agreement, which does not foresee the loss of territory for Ukraine. She indicated that Trump has the chance not to allow capitulation before Putin, rather than this not being considered for the USA.

These comments came ahead of the planned meeting between Trump and Putin in Algiers, during which, it is expected, the details of peace terms for ending the war, which has already lasted three and a half years, will be discussed.

Trump has repeatedly expressed a desire to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in resolving conflicts, including between India and Pakistan, as well as in relations with Israel and Iran. He believes that his achievements in this sphere should be recognized.

Representatives of the White House also confirmed that Trump has been engaged in several peace agreements in recent months, and time is being set for his nomination. However, some experts from foreign policy express concern that Trump's nomination for the prize may affect diplomatic relations with Russia.
