The President of the USA, Donald Trump, plans to discuss a possible "territorial exchange" between Ukraine and Russia during a meeting with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Trump noted that this issue will be raised, but the final decision must involve Ukraine.

During his trip to Alaska, Trump responded to journalists' questions about discussing "territorial exchanges." He said: "They will be discussed, but I have to give Ukraine the right to make this decision. I believe they will make the right choice."

Discussion of Territorial Exchanges

Trump reiterated that he will not engage in negotiations concerning Ukraine's territory, and his goal is to compel both sides to sit at the negotiating table. He stated that the issue of territorial exchanges will be addressed during these negotiations.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that he has no intention of withdrawing Ukrainian defenders from Donbas. He also noted that the issue of "territorial exchanges" is very complex and requires security guarantees for Ukraine.

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, emphasized that the "territorial exchange" is prohibited by Ukrainian legislation and the Constitution.
