Head coach Javier Mascherano confirmed that Messi has undergone medical evaluation and is ready to play after missing the last two matches due to a right leg injury.

Messi sustained a "minor" injury during the game in the League Cup on August 2, having been forced to leave the field at the start of the first half. He returned to training with the team on August 13, preparing for his return.

"Leo is fine. He trained with the team regularly," Mascherano stated. "If nothing extraordinary happens, he will be in the lineup for the match on Saturday."

Without Messi, the team struggled with issues in the game, losing 4-1 to Orlando City, which highlighted the importance of his presence on the field. After the loss, Mascherano said that such a situation is not unusual to repeat.
