Guardiola Confirms Absence of Ederson and Savinho

  • Ederson and Savinho will miss the first match of the season.
  • Guardiola confirmed the possibility of Ederson's transfer to Galatasaray.
  • Savinho is targeted by Tottenham, but he has an injury.

Before the start of the new season, Premier League manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Ederson and Savinho will not participate in the match against Wolverhampton. Guardiola noted that Ederson, who plays in the Manchester City squad for several seasons, may remain at the club if he expresses a desire to stay.

Guardiola has not received any inquiries about transfers for Ederson, but confirmed that the club received a proposal from Galatasaray back in July. If Ederson decides to leave, the club may replace him with goalkeeper PSZH Janluigi Donnarumma.

Savinho, who is also linked with a move to Tottenham, will miss the match due to injury. Guardiola expressed a desire for Savinho to stay with the team for a long time, however, he emphasized that if players want to leave, they are free to reach out to him.

Guardiola also mentioned that Rodri, who is recovering from an injury, also has a desire to go to Wolverhampton, but his participation in the match will depend on his readiness.
