- Koundé has extended his contract with Barcelona until 2030.
- The defender has become an important part of the team since his transfer in 2022.
- He has won two titles: La Liga and the Copa del Rey during his time at the club.
This is reported by ESPN, L'Équipe.
The defender Jules Koundé has signed a new contract with Barcelona, which will last until 2030. This was announced by the club on September 15, 2025.
Koundé's previous agreement was set to expire in 2027, but negotiations for an extension lasted several months. The 26-year-old player is among the few footballers who decided to remain at the club for a longer term.
"I am very happy here, I feel comfortable in the team and motivated by the club's ambitions," he stated. "Every year we fight for all titles, and I have no intention of leaving," Koundé added.
Barcelona signed Koundé from Sevilla in 2022 for an initial fee of around 55 million euros. In three seasons at the club, he has won two La Liga titles, the Copa del Rey, and two Spanish Super Cups, playing 141 matches and scoring seven goals, including the decisive goal in the final of the Cup against Real in 2025.
