Thieves Steal Jewelry Worth 2 Million Dollars in Seattle

SEATTLE -- A group of thieves carried out a brazen jewelry heist in Seattle, during which they seized approximately 2 million dollars worth of diamonds, luxury watches, gold, and other items. Police reported that this robbery took place in the middle of the day and lasted only about 90 seconds.

The store's security service recorded on video how four masked criminals broke the glass doors of the store with hammers and grabbed six watches in total on Thursday. One of the watches was a Rolex worth nearly 750,000 dollars, while another was a luxury timepiece worth 125,000 dollars.

One of the masked criminals threatened a store employee with a firearm, but they did not harm him.

"We are quite shocked as a team," said Josh Menash, the vice president of the jewelry store, in a telephone interview on Friday. "We will be closed for some time." Menash also noted that the employees finished cleaning up the shattered glass and are working on the overall recovery from the loss.

Police arrived at the scene, but the criminals had already fled in a vehicle, and they were not able to be located during the area search.
