Police Officer Shot a Man with a Imitation Pistol

In New York, on Staten Island, a police officer who was off duty shot a man who was aiming a imitation pistol at him on Friday evening. According to information from law enforcement agencies, the incident occurred around 8:00 PM, when a call was received by 911 about a man with a pistol near the rear entrance to the restaurant.

The officer, who was off duty, noticed the same man with the object resembling a firearm, and reported it to another officer. They instructed the man to drop the weapon, but he immediately aimed it at the officers. One of the officers began shooting.

Law enforcement attempted to provide first aid and the man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. At the scene, an imitation firearm was found.

The incident is currently under investigation. It is known that the man had a criminal history, but details are still unclear.
