On September 14, 2025, a sniper from the Ukrainian unit "Phantom" set a world record by eliminating two Russian soldiers at a distance of 4,000 meters. This was reported by the Telegram channel BUTUSOV PLUS.
The shot was made using a Snipex Alligator rifle caliber 14.5 mm, and the trajectory correction was done using a ballistic computer equipped with artificial intelligence. The targets were in a building, and the bullet passed through a window.
The incident occurred in the direction of the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad area, where the "Phantom" unit, consisting of eight sniper teams, is conducting combat missions. Over the course of military operations in this direction, the snipers eliminated nearly 1,000 Russian occupiers.
The previous record for shooting distance also belonged to a Ukrainian sniper: in the fall of 2023, in the Kherson region, a sniper from the SBU, Vyacheslav Kovalsky, eliminated an enemy at a distance of 3,800 meters using the Horizon Lord rifle.
