Russian troops capture new villages in Donetsk region
- The captured villages are Popiv Yar and Ivano-Darivka in the Donetsk region.

On August 15-16, Russian forces captured two new villages in the Donetsk region – Popiv Yar and Ivano-Darivka. This was reported by the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces "Dnipro". It is known that on the Northern front, the occupiers seized Ivano-Darivka, while on the Dobropillia front, they defeated Ukrainian units from Popiv Yar.
In addition, Russian forces are trying to expand the controlled territory near Novo Shakhove and are intensifying their offensive towards Ivanyivka, where fighting continues. On the Pokrovskyi front, there are also recorded offensive actions by the enemy in the areas of Rodynske, Myrolyubivka, Pokrovsk, Novoeikonomichne, Novoukrainka, and Zvirivka.
To achieve administrative control over the Donetsk region, Russian troops attacked near Udachnyi and Dachne. Currently, Ukrainian Armed Forces continue counterattacks to stop the enemy's advance.
