Luke Littler secured victory over reigning champion Luke Hamfries in the Masters final with a score of 8-4 in New Zealand, completing a double success following his win in Australia last week.
The 18-year-old sportsman, the reigning world champion, delivered an impressive performance, averaging 115 to win with a score of 8-4. This was his fourth consecutive win over Hamfries, which allowed Littler to advance in their personal meetings with a score of 8-7.
On the way to the final, Littler overcame notable challenges, defeating Michael Dekker and Gerwyn Price, advancing only two legs in both matches. In the final, he quickly led with a score of 3-0, while Hamfries managed to reduce the deficit to 3-2. Littler again found his form and led the way to victory.
The upcoming matches will take place in Amsterdam from September 12 to 14, where Littler will compete as the reigning champion following his win over Michael Smith in last year's final.
