- West Bromwich Albion won the match with a score of 3-2.
- Isaac Price scored two goals, confirming his form.
- Wrexham remains without points after two starting defeats.
West Bromwich Albion continues its winning start to the Championship season, achieving a stunning victory over newcomer Wrexham.
The match took place at the SToK Cae Ras stadium, where Wrexham played at home in the second division of English football for the first time since 1982. West Brom's player Isaac Price opened the scoring, netting his second goal of the season in the 20th minute, after Tom Fellows bypassed James McLean on the flank.
Wrexham equalized the score two minutes before the break when Luyis O'Brien scored his first goal for the team, capitalizing on a pass from Kieffer Moore. This occurred after West Brom failed to convert a penalty from their own spot.
Wrexham's trainer Phil Parkinson acknowledged the loss, as Josh Windass, the author of the goal in the previous match, sustained an injury in the first half. In his place, a new signing, Nathan Broadhead, came on, who almost scored, but his shot went just over the bar.
The second half began with a moment for Wrexham, but West Brom quickly regained the lead thanks to a goal from Jeda Ulles, who scored in the 74th minute. Isaac Price scored his third goal of the season in the 81st minute, finishing a pass from Mikey Johnston.
Wrexham managed to reduce the deficit thanks to a goal from Semmi Smith in stoppage time, but West Brom held on to the lead, finishing the match with a score of 3-2. This allowed West Bromwich to achieve two victories at the start of the season for the first time since the 2017-18 season, when Wrexham remained without points after two matches in the new season.
