Koventri City secured a victory over Derby County with a score of 5-3 in a thrilling match at Pride Park stadium.
Guests, under the leadership of former Derby coach Frank Lampard, were trailing 2-3 in the second half, but managed to make an incredible comeback, scoring three goals in just eight minutes.
In the first half, the teams exchanged goals, Derby equalized twice, while in the second half, captain Ebo Adams put them ahead. However, after Brendon Thomas-Asante leveled the score, Efren Mason-Clark and Victor Torp ensured Koventri's victory.
Koventri opened the scoring in the seventh minute when Jakeob Uidell Zetterstrom failed to save a low strike. Derby quickly equalized through Callum Elder's goal, and then Hadji Wright scored from the penalty spot, putting Koventri back in the lead.
However, in added time of the first half, Derby again equalized from a penalty taken by Carlton Maurice. After the break, Adams put Derby ahead, but Koventri responded with a quick attack, scoring three goals.
This victory marked Koventri's first in the championship this season and broke the winless streak at Derby's stadium.
