Shakhtar Signs Lucas Ferreyra from Brazil

The Donetsk club Shakhtar officially announced the signing of the Brazilian winger Lucas Ferreyra. The 19-year-old footballer transfers from the Brazilian club São Paulo, having signed a contract until June 30, 2030.

According to information from ZMI, Shakhtar paid 10 million euros for the transfer, and there are also bonuses included amounting to 2 million euros. Ferreyra is the 11th Brazilian in Shakhtar's team.

Lucas Ferreyra began his career at a youth school in America, and since 2017 has played in the Fluminense academy. In 2021, he moved to São Paulo, where he signed his first professional contract. With the youth team, he won the U20 Brazil Cup in 2024.

Having debuted for São Paulo, Ferreyra played in 20 matches, scored 1 goal, and made 1 assist. At Shakhtar, he will have the opportunity to continue his career at a new level.

The next match for Shakhtar will take place on September 17, when the team meets Veres in the UPL.
