Russian drones attacked Kostiantynivka and Nikopol

Today, on August 16, Russian forces carried out several drone attacks on Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, damaging civilian infrastructure. According to information from Serhiy Horbunov, head of the Kostiantynivka military administration, the attacks did not result in casualties among the civilian population.

Meanwhile, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces shelled the Nikopol district with artillery and drones. Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, reported that several populated areas, including Nikopol, Marhanets, and Pokrovske, were hit during the shelling. As a result of the attack, private buildings and infrastructure were damaged.

In particular, in the Mezhova community, during the shelling, a woman was killed, her body found under the rubble. The attack occurred on August 14. Serhiy Lysak expressed condolences to the family of the deceased.

Such actions by Russian forces again confirm the targeted destruction of civilian objects, which constitutes a violation of international law. The authorities urge residents to evacuate to safer areas.
