Bavaria won the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup of Germany, defeating VfB Stuttgart with a score of 2-1. This victory became the eleventh for the club in this tournament, and it also returned the trophy to Munich after a three-year break. Goals were scored by Harry Kane in the 18th minute and Luis Diaz in the 77th.
Stuttgart, under the leadership of Vincent Kompany, aimed to respond, but their attempts did not result in success. At the beginning of the match, Bavaria actively attacked, and Kane managed to score by taking advantage of a mistake by Stuttgart's defender Lukas Hübner to open the scoring. Subsequently, after several attempts by Stuttgart, Bavaria maintained control over the game.
Luis Diaz, who recently joined Bavaria, scored his first goal, finishing an attack organized by Sergey Gnabry. Stuttgart's players did not manage to score in added time, but it only became a fleeting moment, as Bavaria celebrated their victory.
The upcoming matches promise to be interesting: Bavaria will play against RB Leipzig on August 22, while Stuttgart will meet Union Berlin on August 23.
