In Falkirk, Scotland, on August 16, protests took place, where anti-racist activists spoke out in support of refugees who are living in a hotel known as Kladkhan. Protesters from the organization Stand Up to Racism Scotland and Falkirk Trades Union Council condemned the treatment of people who protested against "non-controversial illegal immigration."

Activists from the anti-racist campaign organized an event to show that refugees are welcome in the area. They held placards with messages like "refugees, welcome here" and "migrants are our NHS." Protesters from the other side of the street shouted "go home" and demanded "enough already."

The police closed Kemper Avenue due to the activity of the protesters, which began around 11:00. In the evening of August 16, the police confirmed the arrest of a 26-year-old man for breach of the peace. Organizers of the protest characterized the event as "safe, with music and speeches from local residents and groups."

Protesters from the group Save Our Future & Our Kids Futures stated that their protest is not "anti-British" or "anti-immigrant," but aimed at improving the asylum system. They emphasized that they are not associated with extreme right-wing groups and do not support hatred or division.
