Cleveland Browns Compete in Preseason Conditions

PHILADELPHIA — In Cleveland, the Browns continue their preseason preparation, during which the team must conduct three more training sessions and four joint practices of team football. Head coach Kevin Stefanski noted that while they are not ready to do any scrimmages regarding the competition among quarterbacks.

At the moment, Joe Flacco looks the most promising among all four quarterbacks, but Stefanski did not confirm this information. In the second team, the Browns defeated the Philadelphia team with a score of 22-13, which added to the confidence of the reserves.

Debut of Dillon Gabriel

Dillon Gabriel, a rookie in the third round, played his first match, showing decent results, despite the fact that there were permissible penalties, which led to a touchdown supernova. Gabriel completed 13 of 18 passes for 143 yards and one penalty, as well as losing the ball. He noted that he has a lot to improve, but overall the team performed well in three downs.

Gabriel stated that he did not play in the first half due to problems with the back surface, but already feels better. He also commented on his phrase about "the playmakers and competitors," clarifying that he meant the media, which creates noise around the team.

Competition Among Quarterbacks

The competition among Gabriel, Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Shedeur Sanders continues. Pickett did not participate in the full training due to the moment of injury, while Sanders did not mix in the second team due to physical strength. Stefanski is counting on all quarterbacks to be ready for the final game before the preseason, although limited time may hinder their battle for a spot in the starting squad.

Gabriel emphasized that his main goal is to improve his skills and contribute to the team, rather than competing with other players.
