Official Representative of Israel Detained in Nevada for Crimes Against Children

The official representative of the Israeli government from the cybersecurity sector, Tom Artim Oleksandrovich, was detained in Nevada during an operation aimed at uncovering sexual offenders who prey on children.
38-year-old Oleksandrovich, as reported, was arrested by the Las Vegas police and other authorities during an ongoing investigation that lasted two weeks. He is accused of a serious crime related to enticing a child using a computer for sexual acts. After his arrest, he was released on bail in the amount of $10,000 and returned to Israel.
According to information published in ZMI, Oleksandrovich works in the position of executive director of the Israeli cybernetic administration, which is subordinate to the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. His profile on LinkedIn, which has already been deleted, also confirmed his position.
Oleksandrovich was in Las Vegas to participate in the Black Hat conference, where cybersecurity issues were discussed. He published a post in which he mentioned that "two topics, from which you will not escape at Black Hat 2025: the pervasive howl of generative AI and the sound of the irritable in every corridor."
Oleksandrovich's detention became part of a larger operation, within the framework of which seven other individuals were arrested in Henderson, which is near Las Vegas. The police noted that all detainees are considered to be in contact with minors.
The office of the Prime Minister of Israel confirmed information about the arrest, stating that the representative, who was sent to the USA for professional matters, had only been questioned by American authorities.
According to Nevada legislation, the crime of enticing a child using a computer can result in imprisonment from one to ten years.
