In eastern Rutherford, New Jersey, the new quarterback Jacksont Dart impressed fans in his debut match at the home stadium, helping his team secure a victory over the Jets with a score of 31-12 in the second preliminary preparation for the 2025 season.
Dart, a rookie whom the team selected in the first round of the draft, demonstrated his skills by completing 14 of 16 passes for 137 yards, including one touchdown. He also contributed to the touchdown himself, rushing with the ball in the closing moments of the second quarter. This confirmed his potential as a future starting quarterback for the Giants.
The starting quarterback of the Russell Wilson team also showed impressive results, finishing the game with 4 of 7 on 108 yards, but allowing a significant interception. At the same time, the Jets, under the leadership of Justin Fields, who signed a two-year contract, were unable to demonstrate a stable game in the attack, earning only three points in the starting quarter of the game.
Trainer Jacksont Brian Dabol confirmed that Russell would remain the starting quarterback, despite Dart's successes, stating that his team would continue to develop the rookie.
