Drones Attack Major Railway Junction in Voronezh Region

On the night of August 16 to 17, drones struck the Liski railway station in Russia's Voronezh region. This was reported by the governor of the Voronezh region, Oleksandr Gusev.

As a result of the attack, a worker who was engaged in the repair of the railway was injured. He was hospitalized in the local hospital. There were also outages of power lines, which led to the suspension of several train services. Subsequently, train traffic was resumed.

Local residents reported hearing explosions during the attack. In total, six explosions were recorded in the region. Drones were also active over the cities of Borisoglebsk and Rossosh, where residents reported hearing their hum.

In addition, in the Voronezh region, a fire broke out in a store and at the market. In another municipality, gas supply was interrupted. Authorities announced a prolonged alert due to possible new drone attacks.

Earlier that same day, it was reported that 46 Ukrainian drones were shot down, nine of which were intercepted in the Voronezh region.
