On August 16, Russian troops carried out 505 strikes on ten populated areas of Zaporizhzhia region. This was confirmed by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional state administration Ivan Fedorov in his Telegram.

The attacks included 15 airstrikes, which were aimed at Probragenka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Bilohirya. A total of 343 strikes were recorded by unmanned aerial vehicles, mainly of the FPV type, which affected Bilensky, Plavni, Huliaipole, Shcherbaki, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charyvne, and Malynivka.

In addition, 141 artillery strikes were recorded in Plavni, Huliaipole, Shcherbaki, Novodanylivtsi, Mala Tokmachka, Charyvne, and Malynivtsi. According to information, there were 15 reports of damage to private buildings, apartments, transport vehicles, and educational institutions. There were no reports of civilian casualties among the affected.

Also, in the news, it is noted that on August 10, Russian forces struck the central bus station of Zaporizhzhia, as a result of which 24 people sought medical assistance. The next day, the Ministry of Energy reported on the damage to the building of the Zhovtnevyi crisis center of Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. This facility is an important element of the safety system of the nuclear power plant.
