The president of the Polissya football club, Hennadiy Butkevych, expressed concerns about the conditions the team faced during their participation in European competitions. According to him, since July 29, when the team returned from the match against Andorra, the players have not had the opportunity to recover normally.
Butkevych noted that the team had no day off at all. In the regime of constant relocations, the team played matches at different venues, which hindered their preparation for the games. "In fact, since July 29, when we traveled to the match against Andorra, the team did not have the opportunity to recover normally," he added.
He also stressed that the constant fatigue and lack of time for recovery negatively affected the physical and psychological state of the players. Butkevych expressed the opinion that such a situation could lead to an increase in injuries. "This is very negative for the footballers. Constant fatigue, they are stuck in buses and planes, correspondingly increases the risk of injuries," he said.
Moreover, the president of the club emphasized the importance of supporting Ukrainian teams in European competitions, as this not only brings benefits to the club but also to Ukrainian football as a whole. "Clubs that represent Ukraine in European competitions not only earn points for themselves but also for Ukrainian football in general," Butkevych noted.
