Liberation of Pokrovsk and six populated areas in Donetsk

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have achieved success in liberating territories in Donetsk. In total, six populated areas were cleared of Russian troops from August 4 to 16: Hruzke, Rubizhne, Novovodyane, Petrivka, Vesele, and Zolote Kolodyaz. This became possible thanks to the joint efforts of the National Guard units and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the 1st Corps of the National Guard.

According to the data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of combat actions, the enemy has suffered significant losses. As of September 16, the losses of the Russian military have reached 910 killed, 335 wounded, and 37 captured. Additionally, a large number of equipment has been destroyed or damaged: eight tanks, six armored vehicles, 103 vehicles and motorcycles, one reactive system of volley fire, 18 artillery systems, and 91 unmanned aerial vehicles.

The situation at the front remains tense. The Russian military continues to attack, particularly in the directions of Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka. They are attempting to block the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration and are conducting offensive actions in several populated areas. However, Ukrainian defenders are holding back the enemy, inflicting significant losses on them.

It is important that in the liberated city of Pokrovsk, stabilization operations continue, while units of the 19th Army Corps have captured six Russian servicemen. Combat actions are also ongoing in the direction of the city of Dobropillya.
