Zelensky meets with von der Leyen in Brussels

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrives in Brussels for a meeting with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on September 17. As reported by the spokesperson for the European Commission, a joint press conference is planned after the talks.
Zelensky's plane will depart from Poland around 12:15 Kyiv time. After the meeting in Brussels, von der Leyen will accompany Zelensky to a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington on September 18.
Participants of the meeting may also include the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. This visit will take place against the backdrop of previous discussions between Trump and the President of Russia, where the territorial exchange that Zelensky may agree to is being discussed.
