In the early hours of Sunday, August 17, 2025, a shooting took place at the "Taste of the City Lounge" club in Brooklyn, resulting in three people being killed, while all others sustained injuries.

According to New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tish, the shooting occurred during a conflict that arose around 3:30 AM. During the incident, at least 36 shell casings were recovered, and a firearm was also found near the club.

Among the deceased were individuals aged 27, 25, and one unidentified individual. All injured, including three women, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital.

Jessica Tish noted that this incident occurred at a record low level of violence with firearms in New York. She emphasized that similar incidents are abnormal for the city.
