In St. Johnsbury, Vermont, lies Dog Mountain, which has become a popular spot among dog lovers. Spanning 150 acres, it provides visitors the chance to roam in nature, enjoy the scenery, and honor the memory of their own pets.

The park was established 25 years ago by artist Stephen Huneck and his wife Gwen. Dog Mountain features hiking trails, swimming ponds, an art gallery, and a dog chapel, where visitors can leave photos and notes about their beloved pets.

Visitors, such as Anna Pays with her border collie named Tim, express a desire to visit this place to honor the memory of their dogs. "This place is extraordinary. There is so much love here when you think about every photograph," she noted.

Gallery manager Pam McKen adds that Dog Mountain is not just a park, but a sanctuary for those who love animals. Huneck's sculptures and furniture are located throughout the park, including the chapel, adorned with a portrait of his own dog.

Scott Ritchie and his friend Julia travel brightly on the fur-covered ground with three large dogs and consider Dog Mountain the ideal place for walks. "It's rare to see something like this. We travel across the USA for five months," he said.

McKen emphasizes that the park was created for people who genuinely care about their animals and want a deeper connection with the natural world.
