On August 17, 2025, Marc Marquez from the Ducati team achieved victory at the Grand Prix in Austria, marking his first success on the Red Bull Ring track in his career. This win became the 71st in his career in the MotoGP class and the ninth this season.
Marquez started from fourth position but quickly moved up to the leaders, following behind Marco Bezzecchi, who was in pole position. On the 19th lap, Marquez overtook Bezzecchi after a fierce battle, after which he began to increase his lead.
On the podium alongside Marquez were Fermín Aldeguer from the Gresini team, who finished second, and Bezzecchi, who took third. World Champion Francesco Bagnaia finished eighth after colliding with Akoto, while Joan Zarco and Fabio Quartararo ended the race in 12th and 15th places respectively, which became an unsatisfactory result for the Yamaha team.
