Hojlund will miss the match Manchester United against Arsenal
- Hojlund will not be included in the squad for the match against Arsenal.
- The coach confirmed that Hojlund has competitors for the position.
- The club is considering the possibility of selling Hojlund, but no agreements have been reached yet.
Rasmus Hojlund, forward of Manchester United, will not be included in the team for the Premier League game against Arsenal, which will take place on Sunday at Old Trafford.
Coach Ruben Amorim made the decision to leave the 22-year-old player out of the squad due to strong competition after the signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig for £73.7 million. Hojlund, who previously expressed a desire to stay at the club, is now facing difficulties in the battle for a place in the main squad.
In the last central match against Fiorentina on September 9, Hojlund remained on the bench, while Sesko was only represented before the start of the game. Given the high expenses for new forwards, including Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, Hojlund's role in the team may be significantly limited.
Hojlund, who joined Manchester United for £72 million two years ago, scored 10 goals in 52 matches last season, and his debut season brought 16 goals after transferring from the Italian club Atalanta.
The club is also exploring options for selling Hojlund, as interest in him is shown by various clubs, including AC Milan. However, so far no agreements have been reached.
Initially, during the preseason tour in the USA, Hojlund confirmed his desire to stay and fight for his place in the team, regardless of the new signings.
